Anna Kendrick, a Tony-nominated child actor, was signed to the part of "Twilight" as the main actress. Between the "Twilight" filming she also shot five different projects, including "Up in the Air". The film was awarded an Oscar for her performance in the character of George Clooney in that film. Since her debut, she's been a part in a variety of critically and commercially successful films like "Scott Pilgrim Vs. America." Anna Cook Kendrick was conceived in Portland, Maine, on the 9th day of August 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant, while her father was a teacher of history. Anna was educated by Michael who was her elder brother, an actor who later on became an actor. Anna Kendrick began auditioning to Broadway plays as a teenager in Deering High School in Portland. When she was only 12 the first time she had a major theatre part was High Society. Although she was a child her performance was a hit and earned her many nominations and awards. In 2003, she appeared as acting as a second-in-command in A Little Night Music. When she was 15 years old she was the youngest person to film in the Camp. Kendrick received awards for her performance and for her role in Rocket Science 2007 at age 15.
