Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress as well as a performer. Her parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Her family was born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's talent for entertainment was recognized at an early age. When she was in 1992, she went to her very first audition. She was given a part of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell, who was 13 at the time her mother enrolled as an agent was also auditioned for ads on newspapers and TV. In addition, she is beginning private acting lessons. Bell had a minor role, uncredited on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music as well as the drama club. Bell was chosen to play the lead role of Dorothy in her high school's production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater after graduation. Bell quit university in 2001 to take on the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. Her first film credits in Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. Her scene, however, was trimmed and now her appearance only appears in the final credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and the Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
