Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Lofaso invites guests to discover her worldview through her food creations. Food is what incites curiosity. The interest grew after she stepped outside of the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich landscape and rich culture of Los Angeles. She believes that cavatelli as well as carnitas may co-exist effortlessly on the same menu communicates a sense of taste that is constantly changing. All of her dishes are formed by a distinct outlook for the future but also with a yearning for the past. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is sparked from her Italian American tradition. It received the warmest welcome. Lofaso's version of traditional Italian is hailed as one of the most compelling establishments for Italian food within Los Angeles. Customers describe Scopa as an important community staple. Lofaso serves meals that are genuine and incredibly satisfying. Lofaso studied under some of top chefs of note and learned their advanced techniques However, she was always willing to go against her intuitions. She soon rose to the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went on to work closely with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso and Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to launch Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Lofaso's house was discovered in Black Market Liquor Bar and her business partnerships. It would provide the freedom of expression Lofaso was looking for. Black Market has no one idea in its head and that's the way it goes. One course may begin with potatoes chips, peppers and toshito. It will be followed by Korean meatballs, wings along with lobster rolls. Antonia anchors the bold range of flavours. Throughout her career Lofaso has judged her accomplishment through her ability to connect with her viewers while keeping true to her personal style. Her talents continue to be highlighted in her role as a judge on the CNBC show Restaurant Startup. Lofaso collaborated in partnership with Penguin in 2012 and published The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Recipes to make Delicious home-cooked Meals. This publication also contains her personal story of the challenges she encountered while going to an institution called the French Culinary Institute and raising Xea. Lofaso believes that her successes stem from the passion she feels for cooking. In this way that Lofaso continues to keep a finger on the pulse. She is transforming the aesthetic by redesigning chef wear with a focus on style and function with her own brand Chefletics. Lofaso believes in being true to yourself and your ideals.
